Rajon Rondo, a four-time NBA All-Star guard who helped the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers seize NBA titles, stated Tuesday he has retired from the league after 16 seasons.
The 38-year-old American, taken twenty first general by Phoenix within the 2006 NBA Draft, has not performed within the NBA since closing the 2021-22 marketing campaign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“I’m done. I can’t,” Rondo stated about returning to the NBA on the “All The Smoke” podcast. “I would rather spend time with my kids.”
