The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena on Wednesday moved the Bombay High Court looking for permission to maintain its annual Dussehra rally at the Shivaji Park in central Mumbai.
The petition was filed by the Shiv Sena and its secretary Anil Desai.
The plea stated the celebration was constrained to method the HC because the Mumbai civic physique was but to take a call on their functions submitted in August looking for permission for the rally.
The petition sought instructions to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to forthwith grant permission for the Sena’s Dussehra rally at the Shivaji Park.

The Sena in its plea, filed by way of advocate Joel Carlos, stated the celebration was holding the Dussehra rally yearly at the Shivaji Park since 1966 and the civic physique had all the time permitted it.
