Rajasthan: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Sekhawat on Saturday filed a defamation go well with towards Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at New Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court for making deceptive statements towards him. Sekhawat, BJP Lok Sabha MP from Rajasthan`s Jodhpur, has sought monetary compensation towards Rajasthan CM for damaging his fame. The Rajasthan CM has accused the Union minister of being concerned within the ‘Sanjeevani Cooperative Society Scam’, which he stated has “looted the lifetime deposits of more than one lakh victims amounting to more than Rs 900 crore”. Earlier at the moment, Gehlot had stated that he’ll welcome the transfer of Shekhawat to file a defamation case towards him as this may deliver the matter into nationwide focus. 

“I will welcome it (defamation case). This would expedite the case and help the victims who have lost money to the scam,” the chief minister advised reporters when requested about Shekhawat’s plan to file the defamation case towards him in Delhi.

“This man (Shekhawat) should be ashamed of himself. Being a Union minister, he should have called the victims and helped them get justice,” he stated.

Gehlot stated the Rajasthan authorities is able to cooperate within the investigation of the case. He stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah ought to be aware of the rip-off.

The senior Congress chief added that his authorities has written to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to probe the matter however in useless. He stated the precise to confiscate property is with the ED and the Special Operations Group of the state police can’t seize the property of the accused.
