West Indies opener Chris Gayle thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for serving to Jamaica by offering COVID-19 vaccines beneath the Vaccine Maitri initiative. As a part of the Vaccine Maitri initiative aimed to help international locations of their battle in opposition to the coronavirus pandemic, the Made-in-India vaccines reached Jamaica final week.

Earlier this week, West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell expressed gratitude in the direction of PM Modi for sending coronavirus vaccines to Jamaica. Last week, former West Indies cricketers Vivian Richards, Richie Richardson, Jimmy Adams, and Ramnaresh Sarwan had thanked PM Modi for serving to the Caribbean international locations by offering COVID-19 vaccines beneath the Vaccine Maitri initiative. In March, Antigua and Barbuda obtained 1,75,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines out of which 40,000 have been donated to the nation beneath the ‘Vaccine Maitri’ initiative.
