Srinagar: An unidentified militant was gunned down in an encounter with safety forces in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. An AK-47 rifle and a pistol was recovered and the operation of the safety forces in opposition to the terrorists remains to be underway.
According to media stories, safety forces launched a search operation within the Mochuwa space of Budgam district following inputs concerning the presence of militants there. While the forces have been scanning the world, the terrorists hiding there fired upon the forces. The safety forces retaliated and eradicated one unknown terrorist.
“One terrorist was killed in the encounter. An AK assault rifle and one pistol were recovered from the slain terrorist,” the official stated, as quoted by information company PTI.
The official additional stated that the identification and group affiliation of the slain militant is being ascertained. Meanwhile, the world has been cordoned off and search operation is occurring.
The incident has come a day after two militants have been killed in an encounter between safety forces and terrorists in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu area (ADGP) had stated, “It is a group of three-four terrorists, two of whom are foreign terrorists.” Singh stated that the safety forces have been searching for a bunch of terrorists within the forest space of ​​the district for the previous one month after receiving inputs from Thanamandi. The encounter began as quickly because the terrorists reached the forest space.
Officials stated that the terrorists began firing on the safety forces after which forces retaliated. Rajouri Superintendent of Police, Sheema Nabi is monitoring the Kasba marketing campaign.
