UP: 8 lifeless, 5 hospitalised after consuming spurious liquor in Aligarh
Eight folks died on Friday and 5 extra are hospitalised after allegedly consuming spurious liquor provided by a contracted vendor, police stated right here.
The Lodha police station was knowledgeable in the morning concerning the demise of two folks after consumption of countrymade liquor purchased from a vendor in Karsia, DIG Dipak Kumar advised information individuals.
The victims had been truck drivers, he stated.
However, when police and senior district officers arrived on the spot, they had been knowledgeable that six extra had died in Karsia and adjoining villages, the DIG stated.
Deputy Commissioner, Excise, D Sharma advised PTI that 5 extra folks had been rushed to the district hospital after which shifted to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital AMU as their situation deteriorated.
