A man was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district on Wednesday two days after killing his wife and critically injuring his son for allegedly not being served salad together with his meal, police mentioned.
The accused, Murli Singh, was caught by a police group after he was discovered hiding in a close-by jungle, they mentioned.
The killing happened throughout dinner on the couple’s home in Gogwan Jalalpur village underneath Babri police station space on Monday night time, police mentioned.
Singh attacked his wife Sudesh with a spade and their 20-year-old son Ajay, who sustained severe accidents as he tried to avoid wasting her, they mentioned.
The accused had escaped from the spot quickly after the incident.
Police had registered a case underneath IPC Sections 302 and 307 towards Singh, Station House Officer Nem Chand mentioned.
The couple’s son remains to be recovering in hospital, police mentioned.
