New Delhi: The UP authorities on Thursday (April 15) introduced new strict measures in order to curb the rising COVID-19 circumstances together with the extension of night time curfew hours in the worst-affected districts.
The night time curfew will now begin from 8 pm and final until 7 am in 10 districts with greater than 2,000 lively COVID-19 circumstances, PTI quoted a UP authorities official as saying.
The timings have been extended in districts like Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Kanpur, Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), Ghaziabad, Meerut and Gorakhpur.
The state authorities has additionally postponed board exams for lessons 10 and 12 until May 20 in view of the huge surge in coronavirus circumstances. Moreover, all the colleges have been closed until May 15 in the state.
“Schools as much as class 12 are being closed until May 15 and no examinations will even be held throughout this era. Also, UP board examinations for lessons 10 and 12 have been postponed until May 20,” the official mentioned.
The new dates for Class 10 and 12 board examinations can be determined in the primary week of May, the official added. The exams have been earlier slated to happen from May 8.
The new restrictions come after a gathering was chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The UP CM had knowledgeable on Wednesday that he has examined constructive for the coronavirus.
