Lucknow: Counting of votes polled for the 476 posts of block panchayat chiefs has begun on Satuday (July 10) in Uttar Pradesh, the State Election Commission stated.

The counting of votes commenced after the voting concluded at 3 pm, it stated. Voting was held from 11 am to three pm on Saturday, based on information company PTI.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officers that tight safety preparations ought to be made at every block the place counting is happening.
