Reluctant to get vaccinated against COVID, villagers jump into Saryu river.
In an excessive instance of vaccine hesitancy, a bunch of individuals in Barabanki’s Sisaurha village jumped into the Saryu river after seeing a group of well being officers coming to inoculate them against coronavirus.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Ramnagar tehsil Rajiv Kumar Shukla stated the incident happened on Saturday.
Shukla stated he made the villagers perceive the significance and advantages of vaccination, and tried to dispel the myths, following which 18 individuals within the village bought the jabs.
The villagers stated they jumped into the river as a result of some individuals had instructed them that this was not a vaccine, however a toxic injection.
