UP: Young Bride Dies During Marriage Ceremony, Sister Made To Wed Groom

Etawah: “No one knows what the future holds, except the one who Holds the future.” An incident, which none anticipated, happened throughout a wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah district as a younger bride fell ailing and collapsed simply earlier than the ultimate ceremony of ‘pheras’.

The bride named Surabhi fell unconscious quickly after exchanging garlands and different ceremonies following which the members of the family known as in a physician, who declared her lifeless stating that she suffered a significant cardiac arrest.

The incident, which happened earlier this week in Samaspur in Bharthana, prompted the households to solemnise the wedding between the groom and the lifeless bride’s sister.

“We did not know what to do in the situation. Both families sat together and someone suggested that my younger sister Nisha should be married to the groom. The families discussed the matter and both agreed,” IANS quoted Surabhi’s brother Saurabh as saying.

The lifeless bride’s final rites had been held after the wedding ceremony.

Expressing grief over the sudden improvement, Surabhi’s uncle Ajab Singh mentioned “it was a tough call for our family”.

“One daughter lay dead in one room and the wedding of another daughter was being solemnized in the other room. We have never witnessed such mixed emotions. The grief over her death and the happiness of the wedding has yet to sink in,” he added.
