Rebel JD(U) chief Upendra Kushwaha resigned from the party on Monday and introduced the formation of a new political outfit, named ‘Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal’. Mr. Kushwaha additionally introduced his resignation from the Bihar Legislative Council.
Mr. Kushwaha would be the nationwide president of the new party. The announcement comes after he convened a two-day open session (February 19 and 20) of the JD(U) staff within the metropolis by which he sought solutions from the party staff for the longer term political technique transferring ahead.
Mr. Kushwaha has these days been at loggerheads with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
