Congress common secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took a dig on the BJP over Rawat’s remarks.
Posting images on Twitter of the Prime Minister, Union minister Nitin Gadkari and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat sporting the organisation’s conventional khaki shorts, she stated: “Oh my God!!! Their knees are showing.”
Surjewala stated Rawat must be ashamed of himself as his job is to offer good governance and never taking a look at girls with such ideas.
“If the slightest shame is left, he should resign from the post or apologise to the women of the country,” he stated.
Congress chief Alka Lamba stated many BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders have made comparable remarks in opposition to girls prior to now.
