Uttarakhand govt to provide allowance, education and job quota to children orphaned by COVID.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Saturday introduced a scheme for education and employment of children who misplaced their mother and father due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

           
Such children can be given a month-to-month allowance of Rs 3,000 below the scheme named Mukhya Mantri Vatsalya Yojana up to the age of 21, an official assertion stated.
           
The state government may even deal with their education and reserve 5 % of government jobs for them below the scheme, it stated.

The state has reported over three lakh instances and round 5,600 deaths.
