Dehradun: Uttarakhand’s Department of Education introduced summer vacation in all higher education institutes in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

The summer vacation started from May 7 and can finish by June 12, reported information company ANI.

Earlier, the state education department introduced that all faculties and universities will stay closed from May 3 till additional orders.

In wake of the surge in COVID-19 instances, the Uttarakhand authorities prolonged the ‘Corona curfew’ in Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital districts until May 10.
