Vedanta to set up 100-bed hospital for COVID patients in Gurugram.

Mining main Vedanta on Wednesday mentioned it’s setting up a 100-bed area hospital in Gurugram (Haryana) for COVID-19 patients.

The growth assumes significance in the wake of surge in COVID-19 instances in the nation.

The area hospital, which shall be hooked up to reputed hospitals, is being set up at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurugram, the corporate mentioned in assertion.

“With a sharp rise in Covid cases during the second wave, Vedanta is setting up a state-of-the-art field hospital in Delhi NCR to support the state and the central governments in the fight against the pandemic,” the assertion mentioned.

The hospital which can present precedence medical care to Covid-affected folks is probably going to be prepared over the subsequent few days.

The ‘area hospitals’ shall be housed in air-conditioned tents with full electrical help and designed particularly for Covid care.

The essential care amenities can have 90 beds with oxygen help. Around 10 beds shall be geared up with ventilator help.

“We are hopeful that the 100 additional beds that are being provided in Delhi NCR will help ease the burden on the existing hospitals and help in saving precious lives,” Sunil Duggal, Group CEO, Vedanta, mentioned.

The area hospital at Delhi NCR shall be supported by central authorities and Haryana administration, and a staff of 10 medical doctors and nurses shall be deployed on the facility.

Vedanta will present the ventilators and oxygen help.
