Veteran Music Composer Vanraj Bhatia Passes Away at 93, Film Fraternity Mourns Loss

Veteran music composer Vanraj Bhatia has breathed his final as we speak at the age of 93. Bhatia is greatest identified for his work in Indian New Wave cinema. He can also be one of many main composers of Western classical music in India. He is a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for the tv movie Tamas (1988), the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Creative and Experimental Music (1989) and India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri (2012).
