An audio clip has surfaced on social media in which Visva-Bharati college Vice-Chancellor Bidyut Chakraborty is purportedly heard making some unsavoury comments towards a bit of the school throughout a digital assembly. While the authenticity of the audio clip couldn’t be verified, the Visva Bharati University Faculty Association (VBUFA) demanded that Chakraborty apologise for his alleged comments towards some school members who belong to a selected organisation. The authorities of the central college weren’t accessible for comments.
During a gathering on Tuesday, the VC purportedly alleged that these school members should not in the NAAC go to to the college or about its upcoming campus at Ramgarh in Uttarakhand.
They may even not strategy the suitable discussion board for his or her grievances, he mentioned.
The VC is heard saying that he knew “these persons are once more recording my phrases on the assembly for leaking out the clip if wanted…. They are individuals with very low degree mentality.
“They are teachers of Visva-Bharati. But do they have the mentality to become a teacher of such an institution?” he mentioned.
An altercation between the VC and a instructor over some problem can also be heard in the audio clip, and Chakraborty requested him to log off if he refused to answer to his question.
A VBUFA spokesperson alleged that the VC humiliated the school and demanded an apology from him.
A college supply mentioned that the disagreement between the VC and a bit of the school, which had surfaced a number of instances in the current previous, is sullying the picture of the college based by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.Â
