Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has refuted a information report which instructed that he was hospitalized in Chennai. The ‘Saathiya’ star issued a clarification on social media and confirmed that he’s secure and wholesome. His followers had been shocked when a report stated that actor was admitted to a hospital in important situation. It was really Tamil actor Vivekh, who was rushed to a hospital following a coronary heart assault. The Padma Shri awardee handed away on Saturday (April 17) morning on the age of 59.
Vivek supplied his condolence to Vivekh’s household and expressed his grief over his demise. The ‘Kaal’ actor tweeted, “There has been a false news report about me being hospitalised in Chennai, I would like to clarify that I am safe & healthy with my family in Mumbai,but deeply saddened to hear abt the demise of @Actor_Vivek from the Tamil industry. I extend my deepest condolences to his family.”
According to a medical bulletin issued by the hospital, the veteran actor underwent an “emergency coronary angiogram followed by angioplasty” on Friday (April 16). South celebrity Rajinikanth and Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled Vivekh’s demise on social media.
“Iconic artist, social employee and my shut pal Vivek’s demise is excruciating. My deepest condolences to his household. May his soul obtain peace,” Rajinikanth, who worked with Vivekh in ‘Shivaji’, said in a post.
PM Modi mourned Vivekh’s demise and lauded him for his comic timing in films. “The premature demise of famous actor Vivek has left many saddened. His comedian timing and clever dialogues entertained individuals. Both in his movies and his life, his concern for the atmosphere and society shone via. Condolences to his household, associates and admirers. Om Shanti,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Vivekh was a known name in the Tamil entertainment industry. Apart from being an actor, he was also a popular TV personality, comedian and playback singer. He worked in over 220 movies in his career spanning over three decades.
Vivekh is survived by his wife Arulselvi and two children – Amrithanandini, Tejaswini. The couple was also parents to Prasanna, who died due to brain fever in 2015.
On the work front, the talented actor was last seen in ‘Dharala Prabhu’, which is the Tamil remake of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Vicky Donor’.
