The inaugural day of the forty seventh Junior National Kabaddi Championship witnessed a surprising incident when one of many jam-packed viewers stands at the venue collapsed and left several individuals injured. The incident befell in Telangana’s Suryapet on Monday (March 22).

The incident befell throughout the opening ceremony of the occasion and the precise cause behind the collapse is but to be identified.

Meanwhile, the injured individuals have been shifted to an area hospital for therapy. However, all gamers and referees had been secure.

 

The event was scheduled to be performed from March 22 to March 23 with future stars of Indian kabaddi battling it out in India’s premier junior inter-state kabaddi championship.

Defending champions Sports Authority of India (SAI) had been set to tackle Bihar in the opening match in the Boys class whereas Haryana had been to lock horns with Jammu and Kashmir in the inaugural match in the Girls class on Monday.

Over 1500 contributors from 29 states are anticipated to participate in the forty seventh Junior National Kabaddi Championship and the sporting occasion has been organised by Telangana Kabaddi Association, in affiliation with Kabaddi Association of Suryapet District at SP Office grounds in Suryapet.

A complete of 105 matches had been to be performed throughout the four-day competitors with 29 and 28 girls and boys’ group respectively. But, it stays to be seen whether or not the event goes forward after the collapse of the viewers gallery on Monday.
