Starting March 30, Vistara started to see scores of flight cancellations flooding social media with passenger complaints. Over the following 4 or 5 days, the airline noticed over 150 flights cancelled and greater than 200 flights delayed for greater than two hours.
The airline attributed the cancellations to crew unavailability. But with a purpose to deal with the scenario and to keep away from any additional inconvenience to passengers the airline determined to drop a complete of 1,000 flights within the month of April, or roughly 30 flights a day. This is about 10% of the airline’s whole variety of day by day flights.
Why had been there so many cancellations? Why was there deep unrest amongst pilots?
