New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party’s West Bengal chief Dilip Ghosh has landed himself in an argument after his remarks on CM Mamata Banerjee’s damage surfaced on social media.

In his speech, the BJP chief is made feedback about CM Mamata’s apparel – alleging that she is intentionally displaying her plastered leg.

BJP’s Bengal president Dilip Ghosh made the feedback at a rally within the Boro space of Bandwan in Purulia district on Tuesday.

In a video tweeted by a PTI journalist, Ghosh has been quoted as saying: “People don’t want to see her face, that’s why she’s showing her broken leg… What kind of saree is she wearing, which covers one leg and shows the other? If you want to put out your leg, why saree, wear a Bermuda so it can be seen”.

The remarks are attracting the ire of Trinamool Congress and netizens alike.

TMC’s Lok Sabha MP took to Twitter earlier within the day and launched one other assault towards the saffron celebration towards the assertion by Dilip Gosh. 

“It now appears that the role of BJP Bengal State President has been merely reduced to that of venom-spitting… he has conveniently crossed all limits,” one other TMC Lok Sabha MP – Dr. Kakoli Dastidar tweeted.

Mamata Banerjee was injured in Nandigram earlier this month the place she was campaigning after submitting her nomination paper for the much-publicised seat. While CM Mamata had termed the incident as a deliberate assault, Election Commission has refuted the declare and dismissed it as an accident.
