Witnessing a surge in each day covid-19 circumstances, the administration of Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday introduced to impose weekend-lockdown within the Union Territory. According to an announcement from the Office of LG, the curfew will stay efficient from 8 pm tonight until 6 am on April 26 (Monday). 

“Complete corona curfew to be observed in the Union Territory from 8 pm tonight till 6 am on April 26 (Monday). Essential and emergency services to be allowed. All market, commercial institutions will remain closed,” the official assertion stated.

Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir administration in a discover issued on April 8, ordered imposition of night time curfew from 10 pm to 6 am within the city areas of eight districts which was later prolonged to municipal and concrete native physique limits of all of the 20 districts within the Union Territory on April 20.

Meanwhile, All faculties in Jammu and Kashmir shall proceed to stay closed for imparting on-campus/in-person training to the scholars until May 15, aside from programs/applications that require bodily presence of the scholars on account of laboratory/analysis/thesis work and internship and many others.
