West Bengal Assembly polls: CM Mamata Banerjee injures foot, calls it ‘conspiracy’

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who was in Nandigram to file her election nomination reportedly injured her foot whereas she was on marketing campaign.

Mamata was returning after performing ‘Puja’ on the Reyapara space when she sustained the harm.

“I was standing outside my car with the door open. I was going to a temple there to offer my prayers. Few people came around my car and pushed the door. The door hit my leg,” Mamata mentioned, including, “There was no local police, there was poor security… my legs are injured.”

The TMC chief alleged that it was a conspiracy and claimed that she is going to file a grievance with the Election Commission of India. 

Mamata Banerjee is at the moment on her option to Kolkata, she was alleged to spend the evening at Nandigram however has now canceled her plans.

Notably, the election fee has taken the incident into cognisance and requested for a report of the safety within the space when it occurred.

Meanwhile, BJP chief Kailash Vijayvargiya referred to as the entire thing as ‘drama’ and rejected the CM’s allegations of calling it a conspiracy saying ‘nobody can dare to harm Mamata’. 

West Bengal goes to polls on March 27. The tenure of the sixteenth Legislative Assembly of West Bengal will finish on May 30 this 12 months.

A complete of seven,34,07,832 voters will select their consultant for the seventeenth Legislative Assembly of West Bengal.
