New Delhi: Asserting the nation is at battle in opposition to Covid-19, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday launched a vitriolic assault on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led authorities over vaccine scarcity within the nation and requested whether or not the states will likely be left on their very own if Pakistan assaults India.
Addressing the media right here, Kejriwal mentioned that is the time to unite and work as Team India.
“This is the time to unite and work for both state and Centre, and not work separately. We need to work as Team India. It is the Centre’s responsibility to provide vaccine, not states. If we delay it more, don’t know how many more lives will be lost,” Kejriwal mentioned.
“Why isn’t this country buying vaccines? We can’t leave it on states. Our country is at war against Covid-19. If Pakistan attacks India, will we leave states on their own? Will UP buy its own tanks or Delhi its own arms?” he requested whereas firing a salvo on the Centre on scarcity of vaccines within the nation.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief expressed remorse over the nation, together with the nationwide capital, going through vaccine scarcity amid the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“There is no vaccine in Delhi. For four days, the vaccination centres for the 18-44 age group are shut and not just here but across India, several centres are shut. Today when we should have opened new centres but now we are also shutting the existing ones, which is not good,” he mentioned.
Delhi reported 1,491 new constructive instances, 3,952 recoveries and 130 fatalities within the final 24 hours.
The Covid-19 positivity fee has lowered in Delhi and now stands at 1.93 p.c. The nationwide capital has 14,21,477 whole constructive instances whereas there are 19,148 energetic instances.
