Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad gave a controversial remark in opposition to BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis that sparked protest from the opposition. Gaikwad mentioned if he finds coronavirus he’ll stuff it inside Fadnavis’ mouth. “Had I found coronavirus, I would have stuffed it in the mouth of Fadnavis,” Gaikwad mentioned.
The Shiv Sena which leads the three-party ruling alliance within the state is concentrating on the previous chief minister for objecting to Mumbai police grilling a pharma firm’s director over stocking hundreds of vials of Remdesivir, in excessive demand for treating coronavirus sufferers.Â
Talking to reporters on Saturday, Gaikwad, an MLA from Buldhana, requested what would Fadnavis have executed if he was the chief minister through the pandemic. Instead of supporting state ministers, BJP leaders are
mocking them and need the state authorities to fail, he mentioned.Â
The Centre requested Remdesivir manufacturing corporations in Maharashtra to not provide the drug to the state, he claimed. Following Gaikwad’s remarks, BJP staff staged protests in opposition to him in Buldhana on Sunday and burnt the MLA’s
effigy.
Currently, Maharashtra is struggling to search out an satisfactory provide of life-saving drug Remdisivir. Ahead of this, Rajya Sabha MP and Shiv Sena member Sanjay Raut had blamed the Centre for not supplying sufficient Remdesivir to the state
