Sitapur: A girl has been booked for homicide and arrested for slitting the throat of her boyfriend with whom she was in a relationship for the final three years.
The girl recognized as 35-year-old Rajni has confessed to her crime, based on police. This came about after a case on expenses of homicide was registered towards her on the grievance of the relations of the deceased.

Laharpur Station House Officer (SHO) R.S. Dwiwedi mentioned the bloodstained knife used within the crime has been recovered, including the fingerprints on it have been collected by the forensic staff.
The incident came about in Laharpur police circle of Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district earlier on Monday night when Rajni caught her boyfriend Rajesh, who was seven years youthful to her, having a telephonic dialog with another girl.
“Rajni got agitated and asked Rajesh who was the woman over the phone twice, but he refused to divulge the details and failed to convince her. In a fit of rage, Rajni picked up a knife and slashed his throat,” IANS quoted Dwiwedi as saying.

“Rajesh slumped to the ground and started bleeding profusely. Villagers rushed to the spot and took him to the local community health centre where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” he added.
