A lady allegedly bought her three-month-old son for Rs 50,000 right here and fabricated the story of his kidnap to cowl up the incident, police stated on Monday. With the assistance of CCTV footage, the baby was discovered inside two hours of the incident. His mom and the opposite girl to whom he was bought have been detained for questioning, police stated.
On Sunday night, Salma Khatoon, resident of Ilahibagh space below Gorakhnath police station limits, knowledgeable police concerning the kidnapping of her son.
She advised them {that a} girl, clad in pink sari, escaped in an SUV after snatching her son from her close to a wedding corridor in Rasoolpur space.
SP (City) Sonam Kumar together with a police staff reached the spot and launched a search for the baby.
“Suspicion grew because the mom stored altering her statements and narrated the story of kidnapping. When police scanned CCTV footages of the realm, it was discovered that Khatoon handed over her son to a different girl after which left in an e-rickshaw.
“With the help of footage, police started tracing the other woman and her location was found at Humayunpur road. The baby was recovered,” the SP stated.
The kid’s father is a ragpicker and the lady bought their son below excessive poverty situations, police stated, including one get together claims that it’s a case of adoption whereas the opposite says the baby was handed over in change for Rs 50,000.
