Bengaluru: To mark International Women`s Day, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will present free bus rides for ladies passengers within the metropolis on March 8, as per an official launch from BMTC. International Women`s day is well known on March 8. “As women use public transportation in the city, traffic congestion and air pollution in the city will be reduced and mass transportation in the city will be improved,” learn an official launch from BMTC.
According to an official launch, BMTC is the only public bus transport within the metropolis working citizen-centric tailor made providers to go well with commuter wants like college students, IT neighborhood, Economically Weaker sections. Currently, BMTC is having fleet measurement of 6600 buses, working 5567 schedules, overlaying 10.84 lakhs Kms` and carrying a median of 29.0 lakh passengers on daily basis.
