Won’t say I respect people’s verdict, tweets defeated Babul Supriyo, deletes post later

Kolkata: After the TMC emerged victorious with a large lead over the BJP, a seemingly infuriated Babul Supriyo on Sunday (May 2) posted a rant on Twitter saying he can’t respect the folks’s verdict.

Calling Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee a merciless woman, the union minister stated that the folks of Bengal made a historic mistake by selecting TMC over the BJP.

Supriyo, who misplaced from Tollyganj seat towards TMC’s Aroop Biswas, later deleted the post.

“Neither will I congratulate Mamata Banerjee for her win in Bengal nor do I want to say that I ‘respect’ the folks’s verdict as a result of I sincerely assume that folks of Bengal made a historic mistake by not giving Bharatiya Janata Party an opportunity and by electing this corrupt, incapable, dishonest authorities and the merciless woman again to energy!! Yes, as a law-abiding citizen, I shall ‘obey’ the choice taken by the folks in a democratic nation. That’s it!! Nothing more-Nothing much less!!,” the now-deleted post learn.

He later shared a tweet by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through which the latter thanked the folks of Bengal.

Earlier, Modi took to Twitter to congratulate Banerjee on her celebration’s win within the meeting elections.

TMC bagged an astounding victory within the state crossing the 200-mark. BJP couldn’t attain a triple-digit determine.

However, Mamata Banerjee misplaced the battle of Nandigram to BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari. TMC has sought a recount of the votes.
