World Boxing Council (WBC) India Championship battle has been postponed to a later date.

Considering the present spike within the COVID-19 instances within the nation, LZ promotions has taken the choice to postpone the upcoming World Boxing Council (WBC) India Championship battle to a later date. The first-ever WBC India Championship battle, between the nation’s high girls boxers Chandni Mehra and Suman Kumari, was initially scheduled to happen on May 1 on the Great Khali Academy in Jalandhar, Punjab as a part of the LZ Promotions India Unleashed-Fight Night- the nation’s first ever Professional USA boxing occasion, sanctioned by Indian Boxing Council (IBC). However, regardless of steady efforts, prevailing surge in instances throughout the rampant second wave of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown compelled organisers to postpone the occasion.

The WBC India Championship is the first title card, across men’s and women’s category, the country is set to host sanctioned by the WBC-one of the four major organisations which sanction professional boxing bouts globally. The IBC is the domestic Commission.
