There is poverty and suffering in Bengal. The power sponsored terrorism here today is also challenging the country’s security,” Adityanath said.

“Durga puja gets prohibited in Bengal today, cow slaughter is forcefully started during Eid. The people’s sentiments are toyed with through cow smuggling. The state government remains silent,” he said alleging that there are also steps being taken to ban Jai Shri Ram slogans in the state.

“I would like to tell the Bengal government and request Mamata didi that there was a government in UP that used to fire bullets at devotees of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. You can see the condition of that government now. Now, it is the TMC government’s turn in Bengal,” the BJP leader said.

Adityanath also used the occasion to highlight the law brought in by his government against the alleged practice of “love jihad”. “The incidents of love jihad are being increased. We have made a law on this in UP,” he said.

“Love jihad is being executed here. We made a law in UP. But there is appeasement politics here. So state govt is unable to stop cow smuggling and love jihad – dangerous activities that will show results in the time to come,” UP CM said.

The UP CM also alleged the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in West Bengal “is with the infiltrators”. Escalating his attack on the TMC, Adityanath said the TMC goons want to hurt the people of Bengal by looting the mines in the state. He used the occasion to reach out to the youth of West Bengal.
