Young Boy Falls Into 60-Feet Borewell In Madhya Pradesh, Rescue Operations Underway | India News


Vidisha: A 7-year-old boy fell right into a borewell in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district on Tuesday and an operation is underway to rescue the kid, an official mentioned. Officials mentioned that the borewell is 60 ft deep and the boy is caught at a depth of 43 ft. A parallel pit is being dug with the assistance of JCB machines (earthmovers) to tug out the kid, they mentioned.

The boy, Lokesh Ahirwar, was taking part in when he slipped into the slim gap round 11 am at Kherkhedi Pathar village beneath Lateri tehsil within the district, the official mentioned. After being alerted by the villagers, a rescue workforce reached the spot and commenced an operation to securely extricate the kid, mentioned Lateri sub-divisional Justice of the Peace Harshal Choudhary.

 

An oxygen pipe has been lowered into the borewell and rescuers are maintaining a tally of the trapped boy by a night-vision gadget, Vidisha Collector Umashankar Bhargava mentioned.

Personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have additionally been pressed into service to rescue the boy, mentioned the official.

A digicam was lowered into the borewell to trace the boy’s situation higher, he added.

Senior officers, together with divisional commissioner Malsingh Bhaydiya and inspector basic (IG) Irshad Wali, additionally reached the spot round 7 pm to oversee the rescue operation.
