‘Youngsters Should Work 70 Hours A Week’: Infosys Founder Narayana Murthy – News18

Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy has stated that to ensure that India to compete with economies which have made great progress previously 2-3 a long time, children must work 70 hours per week. Murthy appeared on the primary episode of 3one4 Capital’s podcast ‘The Record’, which was launched on YouTube at the moment.

In the podcast, Murthy in dialog with former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai talked about nation-constructing, expertise and his firm Infosys, amongst different subjects.

He stated India’s work productiveness is among the many lowest globally, and the nation’s youth must put in further hours of labor — like Japan and Germany did after World War 2 — so as to compete with international locations like China.

“India’s work productivity is one of the lowest in the world. Unless we improve our work productivity, unless we reduce corruption in the government at some level, because we have been reading I don’t know the truth of it, unless we reduce the delays in our bureaucracy in taking this decision, we will not be able to compete with those countries that have made tremendous progress,” he stated.

He stated the nation’s youth should say that ‘this is my country. I would like to work 70 hours a week’.
