Lok Sabha Elections 2024: What are eight objections raised by Delhi poll body to AAP campaign song?

Lok Sabha Elections 2024:  The workplace of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Delhi, refuted the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) assertion that the Election Commission had banned its Lok Sabha campaign music “Jail Ka Jawab, Vote Se Denge.” Instead, the electoral body acknowledged that the social gathering has been instructed to make modifications in accordance with the laws. 

In response to the AAP software looking for permission to use the music and video, the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) of the workplace raised objections and requested the social gathering to make modifications to its music and resubmit it for certification. AAP submitted the appliance on April 25, and the response was obtained on Saturday.

Here are the eight objections raised by poll body 

  1. The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” reveals an aggressive mob holding the picture of CM Arvind Kejriwal displaying him behind bars. The pre-certification committee within the workplace of the Delhi CEO mentioned this “casts aspersions on the judiciary.” It additionally mentioned the phrase seems a number of instances within the commercial which contravenes the provisions of ECI Guidelines dated August 24, 2023 and Rule 6(1)(g) of Programme and Advertising Codes prescribed beneath the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994.

  3. Itna lalach, itna nafrat, bhrastachari se mohabbat” reveals slanderous remarks and it’s a criticism of the ruling social gathering on the idea of “unverified information and likewise casts aspersion on the judiciary.
  5. The phrase “Gundo wali party chodo” proven with footage of different political social gathering leaders together with their social gathering image presents slanderous remarks addressed to the opposite social gathering and their chief.
  6. The phrase “Tanashahi party ko hum chot denge” with the clip displaying aggressive mob clashing with the police reveals criticism of the ruling social gathering on the idea of unverified information. Further, the phrase is repeated a number of instances within the music which is objectionable.
  7. The phrase “Jail ka jawaab hum vote se denge” used for 10 seconds in the long run is lacking from the submitted transcript.
  8. Further, the submitted transcript has not been signed by the applicant. 

The committee mentioned that the commercial is returned with the request to modify the contents of the inventive as per the Advertising Codes prescribed beneath the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994. EC’s letter acknowledged that the campaign music could also be resubmitted after modification for certification.
